Creation times: why a jewel takes time
Just time, not long time
A jewel is never made in precipitation.
It requires real attention, a precise look, an interior availability.
At Atelier Almarose, each piece is made to order, in a rhythm that respects the gesture and the material.
This explains why our deadlines vary between two and four weeks, depending on the project.
Time is not an obstacle.
It is a condition of beauty.
An organization thought to create serenely
At the workshop, our weeks are carefully planned.
Everything is organised to ensure quality and continuity of work.
We make several jewels every week, and each step must find its place:
drawing, manufacturing, welding, adjusting, crimping, polishing, exchanges with our customers.
Adding a piece to this schedule requires real preparation.
This is what ensures fair manufacturing and a result that is consistent with your expectations.
Build, create, respond, accompany
The work of the workshop is not limited to manufacturing.
Creating a jewel requires much more than mastering metal.
We need to:
– imagine new pieces,
– draw tailor-made projects,
– exchange with customers,
– respond to subcontracting requests,
– managing the company,
– think about the collections,
– organize orders,
– refine prototypes,
– and document these actions on a daily basis to share the progress of work.
It is a complete life held in a single workshop.
A dense life, but essential to make a contemporary craft exist.
Creating content is also part of the business
Show behind the scenes, tell the gesture, photograph the pieces, film the stages, explain why...
All this takes time.
But this is an important way to convey the reality of craft jewellery.
Sharing what we do allows:
– to make the workshop more accessible,
– to show the values behind our creations,
– to create an authentic link with those who follow us.
This part of the work is as creative as drawing a ring.
A jewel is not made: it consists
Each piece goes through several stages, sometimes invisible but essential.
Frost, saw, sift, solder, polish, adjust:
all demands patience, safe gestures, drying time, rest time, observation time.
A jewel too pressed never the same accuracy as a jewel made with the time necessary for its birth.
Why two to four weeks?
Because your project enters an organization where nothing is improvised.
Because a jewel takes time.
Because I work alone in the workshop, taking care of every step.
Because each piece deserves to be manufactured in the best conditions.
Because the order of production must be respected, to ensure quality and consistency.
Because an artisanal jewel is not an immediate production:
It is a piece shaped, thought, accompanied.
Two to four weeks is the right time.
The time it takes to make a jewel that you will enjoy wearing for a long time.
A time frame that ensures sustainable quality
When your jewel is ready, it does not tell the speed:
He tells the care.
It tells the hours devoted to its shape, the invisible adjustments, the concentration of polishing, the precision of the crimping.
This time, you will wear it as much as the gold itself.
